Backyard Buggin’

A peaceful nap under the shade tree takes Felicia Flash, wildlife photographer, into an amazing ecosystem under her lawn chair. We are talking bugs. BIG BUGS... as she shrinks to bug size...or our stage grows to make the audience bug size.... Green Darner dragonflies, earth worms, tree frogs, slugs and more. Discover the critters in your own backyard, what it takes to create a backyard sanctuary and why it is so important to help out.

Down the Drain

Following a sewer rat down the drain opens up a new world for our dynamic duo of Felicia Flash & Karma the elephant as they discover what our watershed is, its connection to the ecosystem and how we can make a difference. Al, the rat, is upset when humans use his storm drain as a trash can and he is put in danger when an oil barrel traps him as it floats out to sea. Can our dynamic duo save him in time? What and who do they meet as they travel from stream to river?

The Frog Prints

Where STEAM education meets Steam-Punk in a unique twist of the classic fairytale. In our story the rude Prince Rana encounters Mother Nature in the woods where she stops him from littering, polluting the water and just being plain old rude. She turns him into a frog until he realizes how his ‘foot prints’ are affecting the whole water system…and he can convince another human to change their ways, paying it forward.

Helpful Hannah Hippo

Hannah just wants to be helpful! This little hippo finds a tiny chick  that was washed away in a flood. Join her on her journey to reunite her little friend with her missing family. Along the way, Hannah, her buddy Ollie the Oxpecker and little Ava discover the biodiversity of the Ewaso Nyiro River in central Kenya, the challenges this precious land is experiencing and why we all need to pitch in and help when we see something or someone needs a helping hand.

Our environment. My Responsibility.

I’d Rather Be a Hummingbird

Based on the folktale made famous by Wangari Maathai. Sometimes problems seem too big or overwhelming for one individual to make a difference. Little Nigel the beaver is learning the work of the big beavers when disaster strikes in the form of a forest fire. All the creatures of the forest run away or stand panic-stricken waiting for someone else to solve the problem. Only the little hummingbird dares to help. Nigel learns he wants to be like the hummingbird and do the best he can no matter the size of the problem.

It’s a Jungle Out There

Join Felicia Flash, wildlife photographer, and her side-kick, Karma the elephant introduce you to dozens of endangered species and wildlife from across the globe in this cabaret musical extravaganza. Orangutans, Javanese tigers, binturongs and gibbons swing to the beat of the music while hornbills and dog-faced fruit bats fly into the audience. This show is part of StoneLion’s animal conservation series, which has played since 1986 in zoos, schools and festivals across the country.

The Little Red Hen’s Garden
